Olive Oil in Kosovo: Supply from Albanian Producer

Kosovo does not produce olive oil. The continental climate does not allow olive groves, so everything found on the shelves of Pristina, Prizren or Peja is imported. The real question is by whom and with how many intermediaries.
The short cut has advantages
Oil from Fieri reaches Pristina within one day of travel. Compare that to an oil that goes from Spain to a warehouse in Northern Italy, then to an importer, then to a distributor. Every middleman adds cost and time, and time is the enemy of olive oil.
Albania and Kosovo also share simplified trade rules under regional agreements, which reduces the administrative burden compared to imports from outside the region.
For the family consumer
Individual shipments are made through shipping services operating between the two countries. Family orders are usually made in quantities of 5-20 litres, because the shipping cost is spread over the volume and you make one order instead of six.

The documentation you receive
For each commercial shipment we prepare the invoice, the certificate of origin, the organic certificate and the laboratory analysis of the lot. This package of documents is the same one we used for exports to Italy, where we sent over 2,200 tons during 2023 and 2024.
